Chart notes
WHY NOT DIXIE gave chase and took the lead in the three path midway on the turn, came in a path toward the head of the lane and was kept sharp to widen. OVERNIGHT EXPRESS gave chase, raced in the four path on the turn and dueled through the stretch for second. SANDI SUE gave chase, raced in the four and five paths on the turn and was outfinished in the stretch duel for second. NEED A MIRACLE set a pressured early pace then gave chase leaving the three eighths pole, recovered the edge two deep approaching the quarter but was checked while in tight at the rail nearing the eighth pole then flattened in the duel through the stretch. MAKING MISCHIEF chased inside, was roughed at the inside withers of Digits approaching the quarter pole, angled out and raced two deep through the turn, had aim entering the stretch but flattened the final sixteenth. INFERNO gave chase, eased to the five path through the turn and showed little in the lane. UAINTRIGHT gave chase then flattened in the six path on the turn. DIGITS closed to brief lead at the three eighths pole but was met and checked in tight at the rail at the girth of Need A Miracle approaching the quarter pole then faded through the turn. The Stewards reviewed then rejected a claim of foul against the rider of Why Not Dixie for alleged interference approaching the eighth pole, lodged by the rider of Need A Miracle.
