Chart notes
EMPEROROFTHENORTH was guided three to four wide when clearing into the first turn, was nursed along well off the inside, wandered out a touch then was soon corrected with right handed asking into the stretch, dug in to thwart an inner challenge from POPULIST leaving mid stretch then edged back clear under a drive in the final yards. POPULIST tugged his way forward between foes leaving the five eighths to be close, took aim after an advance past the five sixteenths, shifted in entering the lane, bid inside the winner near mid stretch, fought on while drifting out a bit near the sixteenth pole, failed to match strides but continued with effort to the wire. KO SAMUI (IRE) , five wide into the first turn, stalked four deep nearing the half, edged up three wide soon into the stretch, chased then flattened out late. ATOMIC CANDY , towards the inside while forward through the backstretch run, lacked a serious punch past the five sixteenths and faded. DENNARD was taken five wide nearing the five eighths, failed to go on under a ride past the three eighths and gave way. CAJUN TREASURE , four wide to contention, stalked three wide between runners nearing the half mile pole, lacked a response leaving the far turn and weakened.
