Chart notes
THE SMOOCH dueled on the inside up the backstretch, raced in the two path around the turn and continued to battle to the finish while drifting out and bumping with SIRRAH lightly in late stretch to hold the win. SIRRAH pressed the pace on the outside early, came around the turn in the three path, dueled in upper stretch, bumping with THE SMOOCH late when that rival drifted out and narrowly missed. INEEDAMARKER stalked the pace setter on the outside up the backstretch, continued around the bend in the four path and kept on from there. BONIFIED WILDCAT tracked the pace setters between horses up the backstretch, came around the turn in the five path and chased on to the wire. MS TRES MORENA raced in the middle of the pack on the outside through the opening stages, swung out to the six path coming around the bend and was outkicked in the lane. NETTLEINFRONT raced off the pace on the inside up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn and showed no kick. POP'S PARTY checked leaving the gate, raced off the pace on the outside early, navigated the turn from the three path and made no bid. SPOONIN SHUGA chased the leader on the inside up the backstretch, came around the turn in the two path and faded in the lane. THE RIDER OF HORSE TWO, SIRRAH, LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST HORSE ONE, THE SMOOCH, CITING INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH. UPON REVIEW, NO CHANGES WERE MADE TO THE ORDER OF FINISH. PER ORDER 2024-COMM-14-FO FROM THE NEW MEXICO RACING COMMISSION, THE SMOOCH WAS PLACED SECOND FROM FIRST PLACE.
