Chart notes
ALTOBELLI took an immediate lead and rated the pace through the backstretch, pulled himself away at the rail on the turn and was under a hand ride through the lane. BAYTOWN SUNDANCE gave chase, raced in the three path on the turn and settled for second. VERNOR'S JUNCTION raced close early while giving chase, ran two deep on the turn and dueled through the stretch for third. RICK'SWARMHEART gave chase, rounded the turn about the three path and was outfinished in the stretch duel for third. FEAR THE FACTS chased inside, raced near the rail on the tur and flattened in the lane. FIRENZE FOREVER dwelled at the start and raced well back. FREED FROM DESIRE ducked in past the false railing and lost his rider. The Stewards posted the inquiry to review the start of this race.
