Chart notes
RUFFIN pressed the pace earlry, took command on the turn opening a clear lead, responded through the lane gamely and just held late. BLUE MAX unhurried in the early going, rallied turning for home and closed fast finding his best stride late to just miss. EXCITEMENT tracked the leaders while in behind traffic on the turn, rrallied at the head of the lane to loom in mid-stretch and could not sustain the rally late. SIMPLY VALID dueled on the lead from the inside, responded to keep battling through the lane and was outkicked in deep stretch. FROSTY PAWS brushed at the start by inside rival to be near the rear early, moved up the fence to be well placed into the turn and lacked a closing kick. CYBERTIME raced mid-pack to the turn, rallied between rivals to be prominent truning for home and flattened out in the lane. THE COACHMAN stalked the pace into the turn, checked from between rivals on the bend dropping back through the field and showed late interest to make a late gain. PROSECUTOR tracked the leaders down the backside, mounted a threatening bid on the turn and was unable to sustain the rally in the lane. GAPPER was not a threat. HEART OF AN ANGEL was not a factor.
