Chart notes
SON CARLOS dueled for the early lead, saved ground around the turn, drove clear and was kept to the task. COUNT ON RAIN raced near the middle of the pack, steadied early, moved up on the inside around the turn, made a late bid and got up for second. WHATTA LIFE lacked early speed, came around the turn on the outside, made a steady gain and was outfinished for second. CUSTOM STAR vied for the early advantage, forwardly placed throughout and lacked a late kick. BILLY BOWLEGS void of early speed, saved ground around the turn, showed late interest, but was no factor. I'M A NIGHT TRAIN raced near the middle of the field and weakened, while racing on the rail. TOMMY SIX FINGERS pressed the early pace and faded. GONE SOLUTION lacked early speed and showed little. COUNTRY CAT JAKE lost action at the start and was distanced to the wire. THE JOCKEY OF #1 COUNT ON RAIN LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST #4 SON CARLOS FOR INTERFERENCE DOWN THE BACKSTRETCH. AFTER VIEWING REPLAYS STEWARDS TOOK NO ACTION.
