Chart notes
MOONLIT NOTION was bumped at the break then again soon after the start, closed to the lead nearing the three eighths pole and rated the pace, was given some rein leaving the five sixteenths pole and raced at the rail on the turn then widened while still in hand through the lane. SPOTAFREEONE gave chase, raced in the three and four paths on the turn, angled out entering the stretch and dug in to take second under the wire. COAL COUNTRY exchanged contact with Forbidden Spirit on the chute then gave chase, raced close off the rail on the turn, then nipped from second under the wire. OUR BRIGHTEST STAR gave chase inside, raced at the rail on the turn and showed little further in the lane. HEY MR POSTMAN chased, rounded the turn about the three path and showed little in the lane. GIMMETHATSUGAR gave chase, entered the turn about the five path, was carried wider into the lane and weakened. FORBIDDEN SPIRIT ducked in and made contact with Moonlit Notion and was jostled on the chute, gave chase from that point, raced at the rail on the turn and weakened in the lane. THE HOUND veered in at the break then steadied on the chute and was kept in check through most of the backstretch.
