Chart notes
JACK AND JIM got bumped at the start by DAVY CROCKETT due to pressure from NOT FOR HIRE, chased two to three wide coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, swung five wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command a sixteenth out, dug in and held safe over a late closing pair of rivals. SMOOTH BREEZE settled just off the inside near the rear of the field, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, angled out six wide into upper stretch, closed well through the stretch in tandem with EARLY ADOPTER and missed at the end while up for the place honors. EARLY ADOPTER (GB) raced just off the inside through the first turn, settled three wide at the tail of the field, tucked inside into the far turn and came under urging with five-sixteenths to go, went eight wide into upper stretch, closed well in concert with the aforementioned foe to his inside and missed at the wire. SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN coaxed from the start, tracked the pace along the inside, got set down taking the inside route into upper stretch, weakened in the late stages. NOT FOR HIRE broke in at the start bumping DAVY CROCKETT twice, the second time forcing him into JACK AND JIM, raced three then two wide through the first turn taking command and settling along the inside into the backstretch, remained on hold showing the way until let out taking the inside route into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was collared a sixteenth from home, then weakened in the late going. DAVY CROCKETT got bumped at the start by NOT FOR HIRE twice and in turn bumped JACK AND JIM after the second bump, chased three wide under coaxing from the five-sixteenths, continued three wide into upper stretch, weakened in the drive. FIRE PIT tracked just off the inside growing a bit rank into the first turn when under restraint, settled in mid pack, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, paused near the quarter pole and was shuffled back minorly when SUPER SWIFT faded in front, angled out four wide into upper stretch and weakened. SUPER SWIFT three then two wide through the first turn, chased just off the inside coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, spun just off the inside into upper stretch in retreat and tired. MANHATTAN TWIST four wide through the first turn, chased three wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths, angled three to four wide for home and made no impact. MCDIESEL coaxed from the gate, chased along the inside under urging from the five-sixteenths, continued in the inside route into upper stretch, tired.
