SURFACE TO AIR tracked from the four path, bid outside of the top pair and from the four path turning for home, dueled with a narrow advantage in upper stretch, but lugged inwardly and put an inner counterpart to tight quarters at the furlong grounds, straightened course and edged ahead. LAUGHING BOY showed the way in the two path, met a pair of outer challenges turning for home, dueled in upper stretch, drifted out and contributed to an outer rival being put in tight at the furlong grounds, sustained the battle shortly after, but was bested and saved place at the wire. HURRY HURRY was brushed between horses and checked back subtly after the start, trailed in the two to three path, swung out to the seven path into the lane and rallied to miss reaching place. WELAKA stalked the leader from the three path, bid between horses turning for home, vied through upper stretch, but steadied when put in tight between rivals at the furlong grounds and yielded. GUNTOWN was bumped by an outer rival into an inner foe at the start, then was jostled between rivals and steadying back early on, laid off of the pace three wide, was urged along in the four path around the far turn, floated out to the six path and between horses in upper stretch but lacked a bid. MONEY SUPPLY took light contact from an outer rival soon after the start, tracked two wide and between horses, then in the three path around the far turn, chased shifting out to the five path in upper stretch and failed to factor. BOURBON DAY was forced to bum pan inner rival at the start, laid off of the pace two wide, then between horses down the backstretch and made little impact. SPOILER stalked along the inside, chased into the lane and faded. AUTO GLIDE saved ground off of the pace and got outrun. THE RIDER OF WELAKA CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST SURFACE TO AIR ALLEGING INTERFERENCE IN MIDSTRETCH. FOLLOWING THE OBJECTION, SURFACE TO AIR WAS DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED FOURTH.
