PRINCE OF THIEVES was under snug hold on the rail watching the front two in the early going, edged closer on the fence down the backside, moved to the leader sharply when roused at the quarter pole outside, dueled outside on the wrong lead down the stretch, pulled away when getting to the proper lead at the sixteenth pole and held safe from the late closing rival at the finish line. ZIPPY GIZMO was unhurried trailing in the beginning, started to make a move bursting between foes three furlongs from the wire, shifted outside horses continuing to circle four wide at the quarter pole, was full of run in the six-path straightening out for the drive and was closing in smartly late but could not get to the winner in time. GHOSTLY SPITFIRE travelled on the rail in mid-division, was checked entering the backstretch to be shuffled back a few positions, was urged three furlongs out making little impression on the fence, shifted out to be three wide finding another gear late and was full of run in the last furlong to close in and capture the show award. STORMIN DAVE tracked the pacesetter just outside in the beginning, took closer order down the backside, quickly swept past for the lead at the three furlong pole, battled inside with the winner down the lane but faded in deep stretch to settle on the fringes. LIL BIT GANGSTA settled near the rear in second last, could not improve down the backside to be at the rear seeing the field three eighths from home, shifted out three wide picking up the bit, angled to the five-path finding his best stride late and passed many foes in deep stretch. PATROLMAN was bumped outside on the start, had to checked briefly coming to the three quarters pole, stalked in the second to last flight between foes down the backside, was roused three wide on the final bend offering a mild response and finished up one paced in the five path in the stretch drive. WINSTON BLUE was forwardly placed early keeping a close eye on the top three, was nudged but could not maintain position inside runners at the half, made little headway of the rail around the last turn and finished up gradually passing some down the stretch. GREEN AMAZON was jostled between horses on the break, stalked near the back of the pack in the first turn ahead of a few runners, improved three deep outside foes along the backside, continued to rally following the winner in the last turn, dueled in the four path in mid-stretch for the show money, could not find more late though and weakened between horses in the last sixteenth of a mile. SILVER SMOKE broke in on the start, was loose on the lead into the first bend, rolled along unopposed up top but did slow the tempo down the backside, lost the lead on the rail with three eighths to go, gave way to the front two runners around the final bend and backed up through the field shortening stride on the fence at the furlong marker. SAMMY STONE travelled in midfield outs in the initial turn, had runners on either side still in the middle of the pack along the back straight, came under a ride but was going the wrong way midway on the second turn and retreated between rivals four wide in upper stretch. FLAWLESS RULER stalked three wide ahead of a couple of horses into the first turn, made little advancement three deep down the backside, lost ground to others four wide through the last turn, was eased in the seven path turning for home and left via equine ambulance.
