Chart notes
MR. MARSHALL broke sharp for the front getting to the rail by the half, opened up at will through the turn and kept on going up front down the lane with only mild urging to win comfortably at the finish line. RYE'S MY GUY pressed the issue on the inside at the beginning, was then reined back giving up the inside position to the winner outside down the backstretch, chased in vain around the turn but did stay on determinedly while not switching leads to the wire to best the rest in the end. JMR SPEEDY ESCAPE settled in midfield three deep down the back straight, rallied smartly three wide outside foes with five sixteenths remaining to be in the hunt five wide for the drive, could not sustain the run and stalled in mid-stretch to settle for the show money. MATICULANT travelled in mid-division with runners on both sides, put in a mild run with a quarter mile left to run, shifted to the in the six-path turning for home and finished up evenly for a minor role in the end. DREAM ON BABY had a stalking role three deep outside foes along the backside, began to pick up horses three wide by the quarte pole, swung out widest in the seven path at the top of the lane but could only finish up gradually to the wire. APRIL DE VELP settled in mid-pack inside runners down the backside, came under a ride keeping pace with five sixteenths from home but could not get into contention driving to the wire while in the three path. UNCAPTURED MOMENT was off slow to co-trail on the inside, was roused but made no gain on the rail at the half, could see the field on the turn and managed to pass weary for in the stretch drive. SILENT FORTUNE stalked three deep ahead of a few rivals down the backside, made little impression between runners midway around the turn, shifted to the three path for the stretch run but lacked a rally through the lane. CADFAEL hopped at the start to co-trail on the outside, made little effort while in the second to last flight on the rail around the bend and could not offer a finishing rally down the lane.
