Chart notes
WHAT A DUDE took over nearing the first turn, dropped in after clearing and set a rated pace, edged away without much asking into the far turn, responded when put to firm encouragement in upper stretch, opened up and proved much the best while solidly hand ridden the final seventy yards. SWAMPDRAINER had speed then rated back off the winner entering the first turn, tracked inside while in hand and to the inside of a rival, came under pressure as the leaders got away a bit past the five sixteenths, found more through the final three sixteenths and was clearly second best. BLUES RAPPER rated off the pace while saving ground, angled out four to five wide for the drive and offered a mild response. GROOVY HUEY broke a step slow, regrouped and lost ground three to four wide, made a run leaving the far turn to be the closest pursuer past the three eighths, continued chase to mid stretch then faded late. SOLDATNA flashed speed then was a bit keen when being rated back nearing the first turn, steadied along around the turn and into the backstretch, circled wide into the stretch but came up empty. DEFENSOR FORTIS broke outward, corrected and edged up, chased two to three wide to the far turn then faded. ANYOTHERQUESTIONS failed to menace.
