Chart notes
LEXINGTON RIVER bumped at the start, quickly challenged for the lead, moved to the inside, drove clear around the final turn, pulled away and won under steady urging. COWBOY CAUSE unhurried in the beginning, moved up on the outside around the second turn, made a late bid, racing four wide, proved no match for the winner, but got up for second. LITTLE WARRIOR broke in, showed early speed, forwardly placed throughout and was outfinished for second. TUCKER THE GRUMP raced within striking distance, saved ground around the final turn, made a bid and hung. GAME AND GORMLEY bothered at the start, racing in the back, showed late interest, but was no factor. KLIMTOMANIAC raced near the middle of the field, eased back and was no threat late. MOON TRIP lacked early speed, raced evenly near the back and was never close. ROCKY BOY flashed brief speed and dropped back. ZIPPY TOGA void of early speed and showed little.
