Chart notes

GRANADILLA settled off the pace, ranged up along the rail on the turn, shifted to the three path while gaining on the tiring pacesetter into upper stretch, made an outside bid while thrown in to elicit a lead change at the three-sixteenths pole, remained on her inside lead while battling outside of the runner-up, swapped to the proper lead when thrown in again by the rider just outside the furlong marker, gained the advantage outside the sixteenth-pole and prevailed under strong handling. CAPITAL SPENDING was urged along on the outside, went around the turn in the five path, turned into upper stretch under a drive, gained outside in the final furlong and finished willingly to just get up for the place. CATCHPHRASE was hustled to the front then sped clear, opened up a sizable advantage through quick fractions, went around the turn in the two path, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths pole, was asked for more in upper stretch, shortened stride into the final furlong and was overtaken then lost the place while well clear for the show. MONETARY MONARCH moved out while urged along off the pace, traveled around the turn in the four path and lacked the needed response. LONCHURA bumped with a rival at the start, was urged along at the rear, went around the turn in the two then three path, turned into the stretch in the four path and failed to threaten. BLUE SUEDE SUE was bumped hard by a rival at the start while also bumping with another foe, chased the early pace then dropped back, rounded the turn in the three path and tired.
