Chart notes
BERTIE'S GALAXY vied for the early lead, saved ground around the turn, drove clear entering the stretch, was all out and just held on for the win. STRONG PROMISE raced within contention, came around the turn on the outside, made a late bid and just missed. STOVALL raced within contention, saved ground around the turn, made a rail bid and was outfinished by the top two. MARKS PROMISE pressed the pace, forwardly placed throughout and lacked a late kick. BLACK SWORD was an early factor, weakened and was no threat late. HALF FULL dueled on the front end in the early going and faded. WILD BERT raced in the back in the early going and passed tired ones. BIG CHOPPER showed brief speed in the early part, faded and was no threat late. SIGN OF WAR always raced near the back and was outrun.
