Chart notes
COLD AS HELL made light contact with foes at the start, showed good speed and battled for the early lead, was taken in hand and backed off the leader a bit to press the pace on the outside, vied in the two path on the turn, passed the five-sixteenths pole on even terms for the lead, came out a bit while put to a drive in upper stretch, dueled inside of the runner-up under a strong hand-ride, was given one pop of a left-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole, rubbed saddles with the runner-up while continuing to battle inside that opponent, was given another pop of a left-handed crop late and gamely prevailed while brushing near the finish. SUPER CHIEF was urged along on the outside, gained in the four path on the turn, made a bid with three furlongs to run, dropped to the three path later on the bend, came out to the four path into the stretch, passed the three-sixteenths pole on even terms for the lead, dueled outside of the winner while side by side to the finish and was denied while brushing near the wire. POPPY'S PRIDE went to the front, set the pace under pressure to his outside, vied along the rail on the turn, was roused under threat just inside the three-eighths pole, passed the five-sixteenths pole under a strong hand-ride, lost the advantage at the quarter-pole, dropped back in upper stretch and weakened while just able to hold the show. SCARAMANGA made light contact with a rival at the start, chased the pace, saved ground on the turn, moved to the two path late on that bend, was driven four wide into the stretch and lacked the needed kick then just missed the show. FIERY HEART bumped lightly with a foe a the start then dropped back, moved in while urged along at the rear, shifted from the rail to the two path early on the turn then moved quickly to the four path, spun into the stretch in the five path and lacked the needed response. DREAMPOINT was urged along off the pace, angled in near the five-eighths pole, went two to three wide for most of the turn then dropped to the rail and failed to threaten. JEMOGRAPHY broke in at the start, was urged along off the pace, traveled around the turn in the three path, turned into the stretch in the four path and came up empty.
