Chart notes
SIR STERLING sprinted to the front, drove clear, moved to the rail, led throughout, pulled away and proved the best. LAURI'S WISH raced within contention, saved ground around the final turn, proved no match for the winner, but was a clear second. SUTHERLAND unhurried in the beginning, moved up on the outside around the second turn, made a bid and was a clear third. IRON IN THE FIRE pressed the early pace, saved ground and faded. MR. B CAUSE void of early speed, improved position, but was no factor. MIGHTY MESSAGE showed early speed, faded and was no threat late. RACE DRIVER showed brief speed and made a steady retreat. BLUSHING BELLE raced evenly near the back and showed little. PAINTBRUSH always raced near the back and was outrun.
