Chart notes
MIZZEN ASH was unhurried co-trailing on the outside in the beginning, took closer order three wide outside foes along the backstretch, began to lengthen stride at the three furlong marker, pounced quickly three wide outside taking control at the quarter pole and pulled away smartly in the final furlong winning very comfortably in the end. BRIDGE TO NOWHERE co-trailed on the rail in the early going, could see the compact field down the backstretch, began to pick up rivals outside three furlongs from the prize, followed the winner through the far turn, angled four wide for the stretch run, did not switch leads down the stretch and could not match the winner in the final furlong but easily bested the rest for the runners up share at the wire. RED ELEANOR had a tracking position between horses in the two path, watched the engaged duo down the back straight, kept pace with the leaders while on the fence around the last bend and battled on determinedly to win the show award on the rail in the last sixteenth. T'PRING assumed command on the rail setting a tepid pace into the first turn, had slim advantage inside quickening the tempo up top along the backside, was headed outside with three eighths remaining, had no response when the winner charged past outside at the quarter pole and finished up mildly between rivals down the lane for a minor placing. GABBY SQUARED travelled outside three wide going into the first of two turns watching the frontrunner, moved in down the backstretch to press the pace down the backside, dueled up top outside around the last turn, had little left in the tank in the three path between horses at the top of the lane and emptied out by mid-stretch. UMNEYAAT was nestled on the rail tracking the pacesetter in the initial turn, settled in midfield on the fence down the back straight, closed the gap on the leaders with three furlongs left to run, could not quicken with the field while under a vigorous ride inside in midturn and had nothing left to offer in the stretch drive.
