Chart notes
LITTLE RED DOMI stalked three deep at the back, made little impression ahead of only the troubled foe on the turn, was still well back in the three path turning for home, had a full head of steam by the eighth pole, exploded past for the lead in deep stretch and won pulling away at the wire convincingly. DOUBLE RIDE chased the frontrunner between rivals along the backside, moved in to sit off the flank outside around the turn, seized control three wide entering the stretch, opened up in mid-stretch moving well but could not fend off the late burst by the winner in the final sixteenth. BAYTOWN BUMP tracked the lead two three deep with a half mile remaining, closed the gap travelling three wide around the bend, was in range in the five path straightening for home, kept on coming to the end and easily captured third money in the end. DILWAALA stalked near the rear early on, made a sharp move advancing four wide at the three furlong pole circling foes six wide at the top of the stretch, was laying in still on the incorrect lead down the lane but still fought on stubbornly, stalled a touch by the eighth pole and held for a minor role at the finish. IRISH DEPUTY was part of the last group with runners on either side, narrowed the gap saving ground throughout the turn, shifted to the three path at the top of the stretch, lacked running room behind foes at the furlong marker, angled out four wide with a sixteenth remaining and finished with interest when clear. J M R SPEEDYVERDIK tracked between horses at the half mile marker, kept pace with the front twosome under a ride at the quarter pole to be in the mix four wide at the top of the lane, could not go on late and retreated with a furlong left to run. SHORT STORY LONG had a slow start to begin, was coaxed down the backside improving to be on the fence watching the front two by the half, travelled inside in the second flight just behind the engaged duo through the turn, shifted just outside in the two path for the d rive but had little left to offer in deep stretch. COME ON BIG LOU was away alertly for the lead on the rail, set the pace leading narrowly inside around the turn, relinquished the lead in the two path in upper stretch and faltered on the fence by the furlong marker. GIL'S FOLLY settled on the fence in the rear group down the backside, was checked shifting out from the rail to be three wide entering the turn, lost touch by the quarter pole and galloped a cross the finish line.
