Chart notes
MCGILL was under a snug hold sitting just outside the frontrunner rating kindly, was smartly reined back to watch the engaged duo at the three furlong pole, edged closer on the turn, pounced three wide on the outside in mid-stretch and drew off with authority in the final seventy yards. GOLDEN TEST veered out sharply on the break trailing at the start, advanced smartly on the fence by midturn while in hand, was looking for room full of run in the two path behind foes turning for home, found a clear lane three wide at the furlong pole and finished up well to be second best. HEARD A GHOST travelled three deep outside foes in mid-division early on, kept pace while going three wide through the turn, shifted five wide for the drive to the wire and with a good late rally got up nearing the finish for the show money. ADA MAY tossed his head on the break, travelled between foes in mid-pack along the backside, was checked mildly behind a troubled foe at the three eighths marker, recovered through the turn shifting four wide in the mix at the top of the stretch but evened out in the final furlong to settle on the fringes in the end. YOUR VALENTINO was roused after the start advancing on the fence down the back straight to press the issue inside with a half mile remaining, was checked in tight on the rail three furlongs out when dueling up front, regrouped sitting just back of the pacesetter at the quarter pole to be in range for a share in upper stretch but had little left to offer from his earlier efforts. BACK RIVER seized control at the start, was headed by an inside rival at the half, opened up again by midturn, was collared by the winner outside at the furlong pole, had no response and wilted in the final seventy yards. DANCING IN RIO broke out ti begin, was nudged on the rail near the rear trying to keep up to others at the half, retreated further while saving ground around the bend and could not factor in the stretch running.
