Chart notes
CHICA ARMA vied two wide and between horses early on, then along the inside passing the half mile pole as her outer counterpart sustained pressure, led before meeting STARCOURT's bid turning for home, got narrowly headed by that one in upper stretch, fought back gamely to sustain the duel through the final furlong and prevailed late. STARCOURT prompted along the inside before backing off to stalk with nine sixteenths to go, smoothly split foes to bid two wide at the five sixteenths pole, wrestled a narrow advantage from the early leader in upper stretch, dueled while not able to kick away from that one through the final furlong and got outfinished. CANDY CAUSE laid off of the pace in the two path, steadied when encountering traffic in the three path between horses at the three furlong pole, tipped out to the six path into the lane and ran on mildly to edge show late. KENTUCKY STARLET settled off of the pace in the three path, ranged up four deep turning for home, but flattened out and lost show late. EIGHT DAYS SOBER shied and collided with the temporary inner rail leaving the chute, saved ground while trailing and failed to factor. REDHEADEDSTRANGER prompted three wide, then two wide and in the three path into the turn, but faded between horses turning for home. A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REVIEWING THE INCIDENT EARLY ON RESULTED IN NO CHANGE TO THE ORIGINAL ORDER OF FINISH.
