Chart notes
HOULTON bumped with a rival at the start, was well placed just off the pace, drafted behind horses under restraint while in the two path for most of the turn, shifted to the three path for room outside the quarter-pole then came between foes, gained to make a bid in the four path into upper stretch, took the lead at the three-sixteenths pole, drifted out under a left-handed crop outside the furlong marker and drew away under steady urging. GLINT moved out early then was urged along on the outside, chased while moving from the three path to the five path on the turn and earned the place while no match for the winner. ACCIDENTAL BID bumped with a rival at the start, pressed the pace on the inside of the leader, took a slim advantage leaving the backstretch, was asked while inside on the turn, lost the advantage in upper stretch and weakened but just held the show. GOOD AS HE GETS was hustled from the gate, moved out leaving the chute then tracked the pace on the outside, made a bid under urging in the three path on the turn, dropped back in upper stretch and tired. TRUE CONNECTION moved in while settling well off the pace, advanced closer near the nine-sixteenths pole, shifted from the rail to the three path early on the turn, moved to the four then five path while behind horses late on that bend, came six wide into the stretch and also tired. CREEK was last to commence, dropped well behind the rest of the field, saved ground while getting closer to the rest of the field on the turn, moved out in upper stretch and failed to threaten. FIRST TRUMPET was hustled to the front, showed the way on the outside, lost the lead leaving the backstretch, was asked in the two path on the turn, dropped back into upper stretch and faded.
