VULCAN exchanged strong contact with an inner rival and bounced into an outer foe at the start, stalked three wide, bid outside of the leader and from the three path turning for home, but was turned away while hanging on his left lead in upper stretch, changed over nearing midstretch and held place. COMMANDO JOE shifted out at the start, pursued from midpack in the three path, then between horses around the turn, bid for show in the four path entering the lane, dueled with an outer rival for that position thereafter and held. ICEATUDE bumped hard with an outer rival at the start, laid off of the pace in the four to five path, ranged up to bid for show in the six path entering the lane, dueled for that position through the final furlong but was denied. METATRON'S MUSE tracked two wide and between horses, chased turning for home, attempted to offer a mild inside bid for show in the final furlong but needed more to do so. ATTA BOY ANTHONY brushed the starting gate while breaking slow and taking contact from an inner rival at the start, lacked speed in the three path, shifted out from the five path to the seven path in upper stretch and ran on willingly. EMERALD EXPRESS broke in a tangle while off slow, lacked speed along the inside, entered the lane three wide and failed to factor between horses. BASSCOAT broke outwardly, lacked a response to urging early on, trailed in the two path and never got involved. METALLIC MAN chased forwardly along the inside, got shuffled back behind a faltering foe turning for home and gave way. MUGSY MALONE was bumped by an inner rival at the start, pursued from midpack four deep, crept closer around the turn, floated to the five path and between horses entering the lane and weakened. BAYOU COLONEL vied for the lead inside of the eventual winner into the turn, gave way leaving the three furlong pole and caved.
