Chart notes
KOSHER COWBOY rated the early pace then kept the advantage over JEFFERSON NATIVE leaving the three eighths pole, was pressured approaching the quarter, drifted nearing the eighth pole and was steadily handled in the lane. The latter gave chase and challenged the winner nearing the three eighths pole, but dropped back in the four path approaching the quarter, moved to the inside nearing the eighth pole and dueled through the stretch for second. GOLDEN G gave chase inside but steadied off the tail of Jefferson Native while nearest the rail approaching the eighth pole, then relented to that one in the stretch duel for second. HOPPING HENRY gave chase, raced in the three path on the turn and ran evenly in the lane. EL LUCERITO became a bit anxious in the gate then gave chase leaving the chute and saved ground on the turn. BERTRAM FLIGHT became anxious in the gate then gave chase, rounded the turn in the four and five paths but was carried widest into the stretch and flattened stride. LEMORIAN gave chase, entered the turn off the rail but bore out through the turn and weakened in the lane.
