Chart notes
HONKY TONK HIGHWAY brushed a rival lightly at the start, stalked the pacesetter from well off the inside in the four to five path, drifted out a bit in upper stretch, was guided back in engaging the leader, took over a sixteenth out and drove clear. SCAT FREE was coaxed to the lead and clear, set the pace kept well off the rail in the three to four path, was challenged past mid-stretch and outkicked but second best. BOSS' DIALIN IN was in a bit tight between and behind rivals four wide leaving the backstretch, regained momentum and was encouraged along late on the turn still four to five deep, kept on to get up for show honors. NOTION stalked from outside five to six wide, floated seven wide into upper stretch, lost third late. WILLTORUN chased from between runners, needed more. NO WHITE FLAGS chased from inside, lacked the needed late kick. JERRY'S EIGHTY chased three wide between, dropped back at the seven-sixteenths and failed to rally.
