Chart notes
BROADWAY LIGHTS was urged along at the back on the outside, moved in near the nine-sixteenths pole, went around the turn in the three path, dropped to the two path coming to the quarter-pole, rallied under a right-handed crop in upper stretch, closed fast to make a bid into the final furlong, was given one pop of a left-handed crop just before taking the lead outside the sixteenth-pole then drew away under a strong hand-ride to the finish. VEHEMENTE bumped with a rival at the start, pressed the pace on the outside of the leader, took the advantage at the seven-sixteenths pole, vied in the three path on the turn, moved clear outside the quarter-pole, remained on her inside lead while under the crop in the stretch, was overtaken by the winner outside the sixteenth-pole and proved no match while able to hold the place. SHADYSIDE chased the pace on the outside then in the four path on the turn, turned into the stretch under the crop and weakened while well clear for the show. BROOKLYN RHAPSODY showed speed then chased the pace on the inside, saved ground on the turn, shifted three wide into the stretch and came up empty. ISLAND RIDE bumped with an opponent at the start then was hustled, set the pace under pressure to her outside, lost the lead at the seven-sixteenths pole, vied in the two path on the turn, was put to the crop coming to the five-sixteenths pole, dropped back outside the quarter-pole and faded.
