Chart notes
GREAT RICHIE M was brushed by an inner rival at the start, tracked three deep, bid outside of the new leader in upper stretch, dueled with that one through the final furlong and prevailed. WILLIE BIRD leaned out and brushed a foe at the start, pressed two wide, bid turning for home, struck the front entering the lane as an outer rival took aim, dug in to resist that foe's challenge in upper stretch, dueled with that one through the final furlong but was bested. FORREST CITY pursued from midpack in the two path, shifted out to the five path in upper stretch, bid for show at the furlong grounds, vied with an inner rival for that position late and edged past. SEARCY stalked close up along the inside, chased in the two path into the lane, bid for show along with an outer rival in midstretch, vied for show with that one in the final furlong but got outkicked. J J'S RANGER lacked speed along the inside, shifted out to the four path at the three furlong pole, floated to the six path into upper stretch and failed to factor. SOUND DOCTRINE set the pace along the inside, vied with an outer presser turning for home, got headed by that one and a wider challenger entering the lane and gave way in upper stretch. AL AMEEQ trailed in the five path, fanned out to the seven path into the lane and got outrun.
