Chart notes
CHASING KAT dueled for the lead from outside, led between rivals around the bend, held a short lead over PLAY MY SPEED into the stretch and held gamely to the wire. PLAY MY SPEED stalked the top pair from outside, bid three deep around the bend, fought outside CHASING KAT into and down the stretch and failed to summon the needed late kick to go by the winner. BREEZY BLUE dueled inside CHASING KAT up the backstretch, fought inside with outer rivals around the turn, checked at the quarter pole, kept on through the lane and finished a clear third. THIRST FOR PASSION chased out of range and moved inside, saved ground through the turn and lacked rally. G'ORO was a bit green while dropping back early, trailed on the inside to the stretch and never got involved. THERE WAS A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REGARDING THE INCIDENT AT THE QUARTER POLE AND RULED THAT ALTHOUGH BREEZY BLUE DID CHECK, CHASING KAT WAS NOT AT FAULT AND THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
