Chart notes
ITSASTORMYMONDAY travelled five deep on the outside near the rear, inched up four wide at the half, closed in measuring the front pair outside midway around the bend, pounced in the four path straightening out for home and pulled away when urged at the sixteenth pole to safely hold for the win at the finish line. SHINIGAMI stalked four wide between runners in midfield entering the turn, made a quick move circling four wide at the quarter pole to be in the thick of things in the five path entering the stretch, could not go with the winner by the eighth pole but dug in late and just got the nod for the runners up share at the wire. CAPTIVATING NAME improved between runners down the backside to track the pacesetter in the two path at the half, kept pace being nudged along in midturn behind the lead group, edged up in the two path at the top of the stretch, shifted out three wide at the eighth pole off a tiring foe and stubbornly battled for the secondary share at the wire but missed in a tight photo inside. GLINTINDADDYSEYE travelled in midfield between foes early on, dropped back having only one foe beaten at the half, made little progression at the back travelling two to four wide around the bend, swung out widest in the six path for the drive to the wire and finished up with good intent to settle on the fringes in the end. CRUCIAL TAUNT sat off the leader tracking on the rail in the backstretch, edged closer on the fence in the turn, moved to have a brief lead on the rail at the quarter pole, dueled inside horses two wide at the top of the lane but tired in the final sixteenth of a mile. STRATUS settled into stride trailing the field down the backstretch, picked up a runner on the inside midway around the turn, shifted to the two path for the stretch run but failed to offer a finish down the lane inside rivals. ROYAL FONZ was headstrong loose on the lead but appeared to be getting out while up top along the backside, continued setting the pace with rivals moving in around the turn, was swarmed by runners on both sides at the quarter pole, offered no resistance and emptied out in the five path by upper stretch.
