DROPLINE stalked close up three wide, bid three wide on the turn, dueled with BERNIE'S MITTS in upper stretch, took over past the furlong marker and drew clear under urging. BERNIE'S MITTS vied two wide for the lead, dueled on the turn, dug in gamely inside in the stretch run and came up second best. LATTA was off slowly and steadied, raced off the pace inside, came three wide into the lane and closed mildly for third. CHAIN LIGHTNING raced two wide off the pace, came four wide into the lane and failed to threaten. BRONX BOYS raced off the pace inside, chased inside on the turn, came two wide into the lane and lacked a rally. BIG Z OG vied inside for the lead, dueled on the turn and faded at the quarter pole.
