Chart notes
RUGGS bobbled outward at the break, recovered and was nudged along early, got into a nice stride leaving the three eighths and took closer order under mild coaxing nearing the quarter pole, responded when firmly roused into the stretch and slipped through to the inside of GOOD BYE CHARLIE battle three sixteenths out, exchanged bumps dueling on a slim advantage past the furlong grounds, kept on tenaciously through the final sixteenth and held firm. GOOD BYE CHARLIE vied outside a rival before clearing into the turn, set the pace under some rating three wide past the five sixteenths, came under pressure entering the lane, dug in when confronted from the inside by the winner, bumped multiple times sparring past the eighth pole and kept on gamely. CAPITAL EXPENSE had speed to the inside of GOOD BY CHARLIE, took back off that one into the turn, angled out and gave chase, circled five wide into the stretch, kept on willingly past mid stretch then faded late. THIRSTY , away a bit awkwardly, steadied sharply when impeded soon after, dropped back off the pace, saved ground into the stretch and finished with good effort. HERMISTON , three to four wide, failed to get involved.
