EMPIRE'S SCORE vied two wide for the lead, shook free midway on the turn, drew clear, dug in gamely on the rail in deep stretch and was nailed at the wire. SPOTTED BULL vied three wide for the lead, chased on the turn and finished evenly in the lane. MIZZEN MAN was off slowly, raced two wide off the pace, chased on the turn and had no rally.
