Chart notes
ZIGGY STARDUST rated close inside on the first turn then stalked into the backstretch, closed to the lead three wide midway on the far turn, came under pressure entering the stretch and held on with steady encouragement. DEFIANT GIANT saved ground on the first turn then gave chase leaving the nine sixteenths pole, steadily improved through the backstretch, entered the far turn about the three path, left the turn near the rail, finished well to clear second mid-stretch and was gaining on the winner. PRIME SHOPPING settled in the three path the first turn, raced outside into the backstretch and gave chase leaving the seven sixteenths pole, rounded the far turn about the five path then flattened stride later yards. LUCKY ONE raced with the early pace two deep, kept an edge leaving the nine sixteenths pole, dueled leaving the five sixteenths but gave up the lead midway on the far turn and weakened in the lane. LOVE IS WICKED stalked three wide then challenged leaving the seven sixteenths pole, dueled close two deep into the far turn but dropped back midway through the turn and weakened in the lane. W V LAD settled in the three path the first turn, gave chase toward the seven sixteenths pole but showed little response. PARK AVE PRINCE raced with the pace inside, was met leaving the nine sixteenths pole and gave chase into the backstretch, but faded at the rail on the far turn.
