Chart notes
OLIVIA'S MELODY could see this field in last at the half mile marker, was still well back with three furlongs to run, had a quick turn of foot midway on the turn picking up runners, had a full head of steam three wide turning for home, weaved through runners one by one passing foes down the stretch and under a well timed stretch rally got up on the nod at the wire for the victory. HOULIHAN pressed on the rail at the start, seized control inside by the five eighths marker, edged away for a clear lead with three furlongs left to run, was just holding onto the lead with runners bearing down on both sides in upper stretch, tenaciously kept finding more clinging up front through the lane but just lost in a tight photo at the wire from the fast-charging winner. ON PARADISE HILL tracked the duo outside in the second flight down the back straight, kept pace in midfield through the running around the turn, angled out four wide with a chance straightening for home, was gaining steadily late, captured third money but still was not beaten all that far for the winners share as well at the finish. PORT RENFREW improved inside down the backstretch to watch the contesting duo on the rail at the half, smoothly advanced on the fence through the turn duel inside at the top of the stretch, fought on stubbornly until the seventy yards marker up top but faded late to settle on the fringes in the end. SWEET CITY DOLL had a slim lead outside three deep on the break, tracked the front runner midway along the backstretch, could not stay up front even though asked for more at the three furlong marker, was still in range for piece of the prize four wide between foes in early stretch but wilted in the final furlong. SIX FOR A NINE trailed the field at the start, shifted outside to improve down the backstretch, offered a mild run three wide at the three eighths marker, swung out widest in the five path for the drive to the wire but lacked a finish in the final furlong posing little threat late. ONE HELL OF A GIRL travelled between rivals in mid-pack at the half, was roused with five sixteenths to go but was overtaken seeing the field around the bend and made little presence in the stretch running.
