Chart notes
SPOTAFREEONE raced in the three path entering the opening turn then bid leaving the seven sixteenths pole and improved steadily, took the lead in the four path past the quarter pole, was kept sharp to extend his lead to late stretch then taken in hand nearing the wire. BOLD DESERT veered in and made contact with Swift Waters then stalked from the four path, picked up the chase past the seven sixteenths pole, raced in the four path on the far turn and settled for second best. OUR BRIGHTEST STAR stumbled and veered out leaving the gate then stalked two deep the first turn, challenged toward the seven sixteenths pole but dropped back off the rail midway on the far turn, drifted a bit into the lane and showed little more. FORBIDDEN SPIRIT rated the pace inside, was pressured nearing the seven sixteenths pole, gave up the lead at the rail past the quarter pole and weakened in the lane. SWIFT WATERS was jostled leaving the gate then rounded the opening turn in the five path, took aim passing the half mile pole but faded into the far turn. CONNECT THE DOTS rated close to the early pace inside, gave chase past the seven sixteenths pole but weakened at the rail into the far turn. TARS TARKAS was bumped leaving the gate, rounded the first turn about the three path and showed little response through the backstretch.
