Chart notes
BRIGHT SPARK unhurried in the early going while in the three path, crept closer in some traffic while remaining in the three path second turn, waited late in that bend, split foes under clever handling into the stretch, put a head in front from between horses in upper stretch and drew clear under firm handling. TRUCULENT prompted the pace while racing three wide into the first turn, continued in a a forward position in the three path backstretch, challenged in the second bend, briefly vied inside the winner entering the stretch, could not match that one late while prevailing for the place. EXECUTIVE ACTION set or forced the early pace in the two path, put a head in front before a half, continued to hold a narrow advantage into the far turn, put away the other speed as the top two came calling soon after, weakened a bit in the drive but lasted forf the show. INDIAN GULCH broke back, lacked speed, began to advance far turn, encountered traffic through much of that bend, came four wide for the drive, improved when clear. WARTIME HERO back off the pace and the inside, loomed a threat five wide turning for home, failed to sustain that advanced through the lane to lose a couple of positions. CANDY FOR CARMEL in mid pack early outside, four wide through the first turn, five wide through the second bend when with the main group, lacked a closing kick in the drive. RIGHT TONE last to leave, void of speed, remained back up the backstretch, in some traffic when moving closer four wide late in the final bend, improved position through the stretch by passing mostly tiring rivals. CANADIAN PHAROAH in a bit tight just after the break, went one paced throughout while racing just off the inside. GREATHEART saved ground when off the pace, traffic late second turn, moved out a bit, no rally. BIG PAPER void of early, swung four wide into lane, remained back. COUNT FROST broke on top, set or forced pace inside, gave way along the rail far turn. C F V BULLET forwardly placed four wide, inched a bit closer far turn, stopped in the drive.
