FACE VALUE stumbled at the break, raced back and four wide into the first turn, continued back, dropped inside, improved through the second turn when advancing, steered three into the lane, set down, late bid, kicked clear. COST BASIS dueled up front while off the inside, shook off the other speed and dropped to the rail far turn, continued to hold a daylight into the stretch, could not contain the winner, held the place. NEPAL UP void of early foot just off the inside, began a mild advance far turn along the inside, improved inside of several rivals into the stretch, continued to better position through the lane, narrowly gained the nod for the show while slowly gaining for the second spot. AMERICAN HERO raced back and off the pace while five wide into the first turn, continued outside and was four wide through the second turn, improved slightly while not a serious threat. GO CATS in the second flight while racing toward the inside, went evenly through the stretch in lacking a closing kick. EUCLID AVENUE away in good order, dueled up front for five furlongs along the inside, fell back off the runner up far turn, moved out to be four wide into the stretch, tired through the lane. COASTAL BRINK one paced while racing off the inside, angled out four wide turning for home, came up empty for the stretch run. PRINCE IS MY BOY settled in mid pack, lacked a closing rally. MANSOURA tired after having a three wide trip. STAR NATION pulled early while saving ground through the first turn, had little for the drive. OUR HEAVENLY GIFT in the second group while off the inside, began a steady retreat after five furlongs. GOLD BARON off a step slow, in some traffic and a bit tight between horses first turn, not a threat while five wide late in the final bend.
