Chart notes

EMPIRE BUILDER vied into the first turn in the two path, shook clear late in the first bend and moved inside, remained clear second turn, responded the runner up came calling turning for home, drifted out slightly nearing the furlong marker to brush that one, dug in to the wire and would not let that rival get by in a game effort. GUNOE never far back just off the inside, ranged up outside the winner to challenge entering the stretch, brushed, dueled to the wire, outfinished, well clear of the others. SIR GREYLIND a bit rank when in the main body first turn and between horses, moved closer in the two path second bend, improved position inside of several rivals into the stretch, proved no threat to the top two the final furlong, proved best of the others. HARLEEZY within striking distance out in the strip, continued four wide through the second bend, went evenly through the stretch. ZATARA shuffled back along the inside first turn, asked along three furlongs out, displayed some mild interest to improve slightly, no real threat. SHARP SPARK off a step slow, void of speed while saving ground, picked off some tiring rivals while also not proving a serious threat. DAILY GRIND off slowly, moved up a bit the opening half mile then lacked a further response in the drive. GET A JOB showed the way past the wire the first time, remained forward while angling in, continued forward the middle half then faded. WITHOUT A TRACE closest to the leader off the inside, gave way. SHATTUCK hesitated at the break, remained always back. CHARLESTON stumbled at the start, was finished early.
