Chart notes
MAGIC WANDERER was bothered by an outer rival at the start and broke a step slowly, hustled to vie for the early lead, showed good speed and disputed the pace to the turn, dueled LIL BIT THIRSTY to the quarter pole, held a narrow lead into upper stretch then met a rival's bid nearing the furlong pole, gamely dug in into the final sixteenth and lasted at the wire for a determined win. KINKY MOON tracked the early pace from the second flight, was well placed while saving ground into the turn, waited for racing room at the quarter pole, found a seam in upper stretch and chased to the eighth pole, could not get by the determined winner in deep stretch and got up late for second. IRIS OF KINGSTOWN vied for the early lead from between runners, pressed inside of the leading pair heading to the half-mile, took back and stalked two to three wide into the turn, bid three to four wide at the quarter pole and battled for the lead into upper stretch, fought the winner to mid-stretch, grudgingly gave way late and was a clear third. IT IS WRITTEN took back, settled off of the solid early pace, lugged out on the turn and came four to five wide nearing the quarter pole, trailed while widest into upper stretch, found his best stride late but could not impact the leaders at the finish. VALERIE chased the solid early pace from between runners, ran in pursuit two to three wide nearing the quarter pole, was outkicked into the stretch and finished evenly late. AMMARA settled off of the solid early pace, chased two to three wide into the turn and lacked the needed late response. LIL BIT THIRSTY disputed the solid early pace inside of MAGIC WANDERER, dueled that rival into the turn, lost position into upper stretch and faded in the final furlong. GLORY N THEHIGHEST broke awkwardly, bothered an inner rival at the start and spotted the field to begin, improved position into the turn, navigated traffic two to three wide at the quarter pole, gained four wide into the stretch and failed to sustain his run in the late stages.
