YANKEE DOODLE KID gave chase then challenged leaving the three eighths pole, took the nod two deep into the turn and dug in under steady encouragement to edge clear late yards. T REX UNION gave chase then challenged leaving the three eighths pole, contested at a close disadvantage in the four path on the turn and was outfinished in the duel through the stretch. SUPER PUNCHER took over at the half mile pole and set the early pace inside, came under pressure leaving the three eighths pole, gave up the nod at the quarter though remained a factor nearest the rail through the turn, dug in under steady handling leaving the turn but flattened late yards. BLESSINGS BESTOWED exchanged contact with Sapphirus leaving the gate then picked up the chase, rounded the turn off the rail and ran evenly down the lane. DEMBE ZUMA gave chase, rounded the turn about the three path and showed little in the lane. SAPPHIRUS exchanged contact with Blessings Bestowed leaving the gate then veered out on the chute and gave chase to no avail.
