Chart notes
IRISH DEPUTY travelled on the rail watching the front pair down the backside, made no movement stalking just off the fence around the bend, shifted out to the four path for the stretch run, rallied sharply reaching for more ground at the furlong marker and flew home late passing the leader with ease in the final seventy yards to win going away at the finish line. COME ON BIG LOU tracked the pacesetter inside early on, seized command to edge clear up top at the half, rolled along under no pressure throughout the turn, opened up going comfortably in mid-stretch but had no answer for the late surge from the winner outside in deep stretch. MINE SEEKER travelled on the outside in the second flight along the backside, was shuffled back having only one foe beaten with a half mile remaining, made little progression on the rail through the turn, shifted out three wide for the drive, lost his path when making a rally at the eighth pole, angled out five wide late and while not switching leads still managed to finish up willingly to capture the show award. SHORT STORY LONG settled near the rear ahead of only the poor starter in the beginning, grabbed the bit rushing up on the fence at the half, finally settled into stride watching the front two around the turn, was in range inside on the rail at the top of the lane but had little left late and faded in the final seventy yards to settle on the fringes in the end. J M R SPEEDYVERDIK took command outside on the break, tracked outside by the half, chased on the outside making no gain around the bend, shifted to the three path turning for home but tired between rivals in the final sixteenth of a mile. PLEASE DON'T GO dwelt at the start, then popped up leaving the gate to trail down the backside, lost touch with the field through the turn and while on the fence finished up strongly to close the gap considerably on rivals in deep stretch catching up to runners at the finish line.
