BOURBON AND ICE unhurried in the early going to trail, commenced a rally along the inside into the turn, tipped out splitting horses at the five-sixteenths, angled further out around TAPSOLUTION in upper under left hand urging bumping DYRDEK off stride midway down the lane and found best stride late to close with a rush and be up in time. IRISH UNITY pressed the pace for a half, took command turning for home and was caught in deep stretch. TAPSOLUTION hustled away from the gate to stalk the leaders through the turn, was well placed in striking distance at the haed of the lane five wide and failed to mount a closing response. DYRDEK reserved off the pace to midway on the turn, rallied with a steady advance fanning seven wide in upper stretch, was bumped off stride midway down the lane and finished with a mild gain in deep stretch. THE LAST FACT set a pressured pace from the inside to the quarter pole, could not go with IRISH UNITY in the lane and weakened late in the drive. SUMMERFEST unhurried early to be near the rear of the field turning for home, swung eight wide with some mild interst in the stretch. LOCK ON chased throughout never posing a threat. CARABINERO tracked the leaders on the turn, lacked a response when called upon and gave way in the lane. THE STEWARDS POSTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE STRETCH RUN AND UPON REVIEW DISQUALIFIED THE WINNER AND PLACED HIM FOURTH.
