Chart notes
PANTHERA'S FATE stalked the pacestter to midway on the turn, rallied five wide under a drive to loom turning for home, idled in upper stretch giving ground to the leader and surged in deep stretch to get up in time. CAPTURE MI took command quickly away from the gate, opened a clear lead to the head of the stretch, repelled the challenge of BUCKET LIST midway down the lane, dug-in gamely and was caught in the final strides. BUCKET LIST was well placed just off the pacesetter through the turn, cut the corner turning for home to challenge the pacesetter midway down the lane and hung in deep stretch unable to sustain the bid. ON HIS TOES slow early to be the trailer and showed good late energy with a belated rally in the lane. CHAMPAGNE MIKE was one-paced in mid-pack throughout. SERGEANT COUNTZLER raced wide down the backside, continued to be wide on the turn and was never a threat. FLAWLESS CAT lunged at the start giving the field several lengths, rushed up to contention to upper stretch and flattened out tiring inside the eighth pole.
