Chart notes
MELT WITH YOU was settled back early off the rail undef a nice hold, then made a six wide sweep on the far turn, came seven wide off the turn and gained a short lead, then held gamely to prove best under a drive. PROVE WORTHY chased the pace towards the inside, then was in the two path on the far turn behind the leaders and was boxed by the five sixteenths, then split rivals leaving the turn to make a bid and finished willingly but was out-kicked by the winner. STRONG LIGHT was reserved early, then was three to four wide on the far turn, swung out widest leaving the turn and finished well on the outside by could not get to the top two while clearly besting the rest. ICE ROAD was allowed to settle early along the inside, continued to save ground and was ridden along entering the far turn, then was boxed and drafted while waiting for room,then moved out and followed PROVE WORTHY leaving the turn two wide and split rivals by the three sixteenth while making a bid, but could not sustain that bid in the final furlong. INDIANQUEST was five wide into the first turn, chased the pace on the outside, then was four to five wide on the far turn and weakened in the drive. ARREBATO was a bit rank into the first turn, then settled and chased the pace in between rivals, continued between rivals on the far turn and tired in the lane. MIDNIGHT WORKER vied for the lead on the outside of STEADY PROGRESS and in the three path and then tired the final quarter of a mile.
