Chart notes
GILDED RULER raced at the rear two wide, bumped and put an inner rival in tight nearing the five sixteenths pole, fanned out five to six wide into upper stretch, rallied widest to drive past the leader at the sixteenth pole and drew clear. SWIFT AS I AM laid off of the pace three wide, progressed swinging four wide into the lane, sustained a slow grind into the final furlong, but was outkicked by an outer rival approaching the final sixteenth and claimed place late. AMERICAN KNOW HOW raced forwardly along the inside, tugged passing the half mile pole before stalking around the turn, smoothly tipped two wide in upper stretch, closed in slowly but was outkicked by an outer pair with a sixteenth to go and reclaimed show. LINZER showed the way in the two path, maintained a margin through midstretch, but was caught by an outer bidder at the sixteenth pole and gave way. SHIP CADET stalked three wide, chased into the lane, shifted inwardly and lacked a bid. MARK OF THE Z stalked two wide and between horses, applied mild pressure to the leader around the turn, chased while getting floated three wide at the three sixteenths pole and yielded between horses. BAD BEAT BRIAN raced at the rear along the inside, but was put to tight rail quarters and forced to steady hard nearing the five sixteenths pole, and was outrun thereafter.
