Chart notes
KHOZY MY BOY close from the start while three wide through the first turn, continued to apply pressure to the leader up the backstretch, moved on that one second turn, put a head in front entering the stretch, edging clear under steady handling late. MR. THUNDERSTRUCK broke on top, set the pace along the inside while in hand through some modest fractions, dueled into the stretch inside the winner, proved stubborn to the wire while remaining clear for the place. COOL MEMORY in the second flight along the inside, continued to save ground second turn, shifted out a bit for the drive, managed little in the way of any late gain, clear of the others. ASSET BASIS in the second group off the inside, three wide and between horses far turn, chased the top two into the lane, went evenly in the drive. BEEALEA off slowly, moved up to mid pack while four wide through the first turn, continued outside, four wide through the first turn, continued outside, four wide into the far turn, came three wide for the drive, came up empty for the stretch run. OUT RUN'M fell back to trail, four wide into the stretch, was not a threat. COLOSI settled in mid pack early, four wide into the stretch, lacked rally. AHEADOFTHEGAME stumbled start, five wide first turn, fell well back after a half, jogged in. THERE WAS AN OPEN STALL LEFT BETWEEN #7 MR. THUNDERSTRUCK AND #8 OUT RUN'M IN THE GATE AT THE START.
