Chart notes
TOO MUCH INFO bobbled at the start and was a step slow leaving the gate, tracked the solid early pace from outside of runners, was well placed into the turn, stalked four wide nearing the quarter marker, loomed into upper stretch and battled for the lead approaching the furlong grounds, took command at mid-stretch, was kept to task under firm handling into the final sixteenth and drew clear late for a convincing win. PLAYING HARDBALL prominent away from the start, vied for the early lead between runners, disputed the solid pace between foes approaching the turn, took back and chased the leading pair from the rail nearing the quarter marker, bid into upper stretch then vied for the lead at the furlong marker, could not keep pace with the winner into the final sixteenth and held well late for second. HEY BATMAN tracked the solid early pace from inside of runners, saved ground into the turn and was well placed nearing the quarter marker, got caught in tight nearing the top of the lane, found room approaching the furlong marker, could not muster the needed late response and just held for third. BOBBY'S ALIBI broke in at the start and was away a bit slowly, allowed to settle early, raced two to three wide into the turn, shifted to the outside of rivals into the final furlong, was gaining in the final sixteenth and just missed for third at the wire. QUIET CHARM hustled leaving the start, disputed the solid early pace three deep and four wide nearing the half-mile marker, pressed outside of DRIVER'S ED into the turn and went three wide approaching the quarter pole, battled for the lead into upper stretch, fought on past the furlong marker, weakened in the final sixteenth and was outfinished for the minor awards. DRIVER'S ED broke alertly, showed good speed away from the start and assumed early command, was confronted by a pair of outer rivals and contested the solid pace with those foes heading to the half-mile marker, dueled QUIET CHARM into the turn while off of the rail, battled for the lead between rivals into upper stretch, could not keep pace past mid-stretch and faded late. LOVE CANDY lagged early on, trailed into the turn, went two to three wide into upper stretch, showed good late interest but failed to threaten the leaders in deep stretch.
