VICTORY FOR VETS was stalking the pace while inside, saved ground on the far turn and was making a bid but was second best in the end. SILVER PROSPECTOR was squeezed back early on then sent up to be four wide on the backstretch, made a bid on the far turn but came up empty in late stretch. U. S.
