Chart notes
YOU'RE SO LUCKY was pushed out three wide watching the top two on the first turn, tracked the front trio with runners on either side down the backstretch, sat alone beginning to reel in the embattled duo at the three furlong pole, loomed boldly three wide between horses in upper stretch, took control at the eighth pole and prevailed in a thrilling finish to just hold on for the win at the wire. CALLING HOME broke out on the start, stalked four deep on the first of two turn, tracked on the outside in the second tier three wide down the back straight, rallied outside smartly picking up the bit with five sixteenths to go, posed the main threat four wide turning for home, kept coming gradually in mid-stretch and found another gear late and closed in strongly in deep stretch but just missed getting to the winner at the finish line. I'MANISLANDBOY was coaxed in the two path leading the pack at the start, shifted to the rail entering the first turn up top, maintained a slim lead on the fence down the backstretch, battled inside throughout the far turn, had no answer when the outside duo roared by at the eighth pole but did manage to save for the show money inside foes right at the wire. YOU AND ME BABY was nestled on the rail at the start behind the leader, shifted outside in the two path into the first turn, vied between runners up top along the backside, battled on the outside head to head around the last turn, had little resistance when fighting in the two path for the lead at the furlong marker when the outside closers swept by and faded late to just hold for a minor share at the finish line. AUDAX MINOR trailed the field in the three path going into the initial bend, passed a rival inside at the seven sixteenths pole, began to reach for more ground through the far turn and finished up quite strongly in the three path down the late to close in late outside but just missed in the three-way photo for the show award. GEE POWER settled in midfield in the four path between horses in the first turn, dropped back in the backstretch to be ahead of only one runner, made little impression around the last bend and could not factor in the stretch running. REALLOVEISLUCKY had a stalking role in the two path near the rear in the beginning, took closer order on the fence to watch the lead three along the backside, was roused for more three eighths out but was going the wrong direction through the far turn, had nothing left turning for home and emptied out down the stretch. DARK THOUGHTS was fanned out five wide tracking the front two into the first turn, moved in down the backstretch to prompt the pace three deep by the half, backed away abruptly outside three furlongs from home, was eased by the quarter pole and left via equine ambulance.
