Chart notes
SACROSANCT moved out then advanced on the outside to press the pace, turned up the pressure on the leader in the three path on the turn, took a short advantage nearing the quarter-pole, turned into the stretch in the three path, was challenged by the runner-up outside the furlong marker, dueled inside that foe to the finish and gamely prevailed under strong urging. NATIONAL IDENTITY was urged along on the outside, gained in the four path on the turn, made a bid outside the eighth-pole, dueled outside of the winner in the final furlong and was denied while clear for the place. SMILENSAYCHEESE was carried out early then chased the pace, dropped further behind the leaders late on the backstretch, traveled around the turn in the two path, came out some in upper stretch, remained on his inside lead until just before the furlong marker, came in while swapping to the proper lead at that marker and willingly earned the show. SOONTOBEKING dropped back under urging while showing no speed, fell well behind the rest of the field, moved from the two path to the four path while getting closer on the turn, gained while full of run coming to the quarter-pole, opted to angle in instead of staying to the outside in upper stretch, closed very fast while getting to the rail, bumped with a foe and checked severely when completely stopped behind the tiring pacesetter at the eighth-pole, lost all momentum and any chance at victory. TWOHONESTMISCHIEF was off slow and spotted the front a few lengths, raced well off the pace under urging, saved ground on the turn, moved out in the final furlong and failed to threaten. BUTTAH was ridden along off the pace, traveled around the turn in the three path, turned into upper stretch under a drive and failed to rally. BOLD FORTUNE brushed with a rival at the start, angled in while going to the front, showed the way inside of a rival down the backstretch, vied inside while getting more pressure on the turn, lost the lead before the quarter-pole, spun into the stretch in the two path, drifted to the rail while tiring badly near the furlong marker then was bumped by a foe and capitulated. MISSING ROCKS brushed with a rival at the start, moved in while hard ridden off the pace, saved ground on the turn and failed to respond.
